Discover Havasu’s Sunken Treasure!

Step back into early Lake Havasu City history through the story of Millers Folly, a sixty foot long, double decker, paddle-wheel boat built by Sy Miller and friends using donated materials and spare parts. Cruising the lake in the late ‘60’s and through the ‘70’s, the ‘Folly’ was the ultimate party boat for countless early Havasu families. Notably, in 1971, Millers Folly ferried Lord Mayor Sir Peter Studd and his entourage to the London Bridge Dedication Ceremony. Years later, the ‘Folly’ was finally scuttled and sank to the bottom of Lake Havasu where it remains today.

See photos and video of Millers Folly back in the day. See it under construction, launching at Site Six, and on the lake. See Millers Folly where it rests today with exceptional underwater photography by Joel Silverstein.
